Pets
At ILK, we’re proud to be a pet-friendly community, warmly welcoming companions of all kinds. While we have a particularly thriving dog community, we celebrate all the animals that make our building feel like home.
Each year, our residents host the much-loved “Dogs of ILK” event — a relaxed, resident-run gathering that brings neighbours together to socialise, connect, and enjoy the building’s shared spaces with their pets. It’s always a highlight on the community calendar.
To ensure a comfortable environment for everyone, residents are required to keep pets on a leash at all times while on common property. Pets must also not be permitted to toilet on common property — please take your pet outside the building for toileting. In the event of an accident, residents are required to clean up after their pet immediately.
Beyond the building, residents can also enjoy the “Paw on the Door” Chapel Street Precinct, where many local traders welcome well-behaved pets. Simply look for the “Paw on the Door” sticker in participating shopfront windows to know your pet is welcome inside.
